2023.07.22 – Smiltynė (see link ->>>):
- 10:30 – 11:30 arrival and registration;
- 12:00 – middle distance start for MTBO groups;
- 13:00 – middle distance start for runners;
- 14:30 – BMTBOC award ceremony for middle distance
2023.07.23 – Klaipėda recreation park (see link ->>>):
- 9:00 – 10:30 arrival and registration;
- 11:00 – sprint distance start for MTBO groups;
- 12:00 – extended distance start for runners;
- 13:00 – awarding of winners and prize-winners.

EVENT INFORMATION
1st day – map „Smiltynė“.
Attention! For MTBO competitors it is forbidden to cross and follow the route which is marked as out of bounds with a zigzag (716. Forbidden route).
2nd day – map „Poilsio parkas – Vasaros estrada“.
Attention! MTBO participants finish separately from runners. After finishing at their finish line, MTBO competitors must go to the competition center and read their SportIdent card there
Attention! Only runners will need to cross the street on the bridge. Passing from the control point will be marked. It is mandatory to follow this marking until its end.

CLASSES
M/W 8 (marked courses with a special map at the finish area. Children can run with their parents. Start time is not set);
M/W 12, 14, 16, 18, 21E, 21A, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, OPEN (for beginners).
Open class – no results, no prizes; start at a time of their choice from the first participants to the last participant start time.
MTBO M/W 14*, 17, 20, 21, 35, 45, 55, 65.
Notes:
1*. If a class will have fewer than 4 participants, the organizers reserve the right to merge classes;
2*. MTBO M/W14 group participants start only in “Sea festival” competitions, such a group is not foreseen in the Baltic MTBO Championship.
COURSES
PUNCHING SYSTEM
Electronic registration system, SportIdent. SI-Air contactless check-out will work. SI-AIR for runners will work at a distance of 30 cm. For MTBO courses, special stations will be used with a working range of up to 2 m.
REGISTRATION
Deadline of registration 2023.07.18
Online registration at DB_Topas.
START FEE
M/W 8 €4 (or €2 for one day);
M/W 12–18 €12 (or €6 for one day);
M/W 21–60 €25 (or €13 for one day);
M/W 65–75 and students with ISIC €16 (or €8 for one day);
Open – €6/day. Registration can be done at the competition desk.
SportIdent card rent fee:
M/W 8 – for free;
M/W 12-18 – €1/day;
M/W 21-75 – €1,50/day;
OPEN – 1,- €/day.
- A fine for registration cancellation – 50 % of the start fee.
- Participants who lost or fail to return their rented SI cards must pay a non-return charge, which is equal to the value of the SI card.
- The start fee can be paid via bank transfer: Bank SEB (code 7044) LT38 7044 0600 0411 0759 (“Start fee”) or at the desk in the Event center.
Rules
The Sea Festival competitions are conducted in accordance with the Lithuanian orienteering running rules
The Baltic MTBO Championship is conducted in accordance with the Lithuanian orienteering mountain bike rules
PRIZES
The places of the participants of the Sea Festival competition are determined by the time spent on the course, summing up the results of 2 days.
The winners of the Baltic MTBO Championship are awarded medals on separate days. The participants of the championship will be awarded in the overall 2-day standings, summing up the results of the 2 days.
HANDLING OF PERSONAL DATA
By registering for the competition, you agree that your name, year of birth, team name, and results will be published on www.dbtopas.lt. The year of birth is not shown on the website, they are collected only for statistical and control purposes (to make people match their age groups).
By registering for the competition, each participant agrees, that the organizers of the event may freely use the images and footage of the event for marketing purposes, such as social networks, websites, etc.
OTHER CONDITIONS
For health, athletes are responsible themselves.
HOW TO GET HERE?
Location – Klaipėda, Lithuania.
There are daily ferries from Karlshamn (Sweden) and Kiel (Germany) to Klaipėda. –> Link to the ferry company, DFDS.
There are a lot of opportunities how to come to Lithuania by plane. Airports are located in Vilnius, Kaunas, and Palanga.
You can fly here with Ryanair, WizzAir, or another airline company.
From Vilnius to Klaipėda you can go: by train or bus.
From Kaunas or Palanga to Klaipėda you can go by bus.

At the same time as orienteering competitions, Klaipėda town hosting the largest festival in Lithuania – Sea Festival. Music, food and entertainment festival.

ACCOMMODATION
Participants take care of accommodation of themselves.
Do not forget that the festival brings together a lot of people. Therefore, we strongly recommend taking care of accommodation in advance!
